We're ConnectProtect®

We didn't start with a product. We started with a problem.

In 2020, we made a promise: To protect customers from the threats they can’t see coming. That promise still defines ConnectProtect® today. But to understand why we built it, you need to understand what we kept seeing. Customers were investing in good security technology. Then something happened. An alert. An incident. Something that didn’t look right. And suddenly, getting the help they needed wasn’t so easy. Responses could be slow. Different technologies told different parts of the story. Responsibility wasn’t always clear. And at exactly the moment a customer needed confidence, they could find themselves trying to work out who was actually there to help. We thought security should work differently. So we built ConnectProtect.

Someone should be there when it matters.

I'm Robert Gupta.
Before ConnectProtect®, I spent years working with organisations and their security technology through Secon Cyber. I kept seeing the same problem. When customers experienced security incidents and couldn't get the response they needed from their existing providers, they called me. So I'd help. Not because it was part of a service we'd sold them. Because they needed someone. After seeing the same thing happen again and again, I knew there had to be a better way. Customers didn't necessarily need another security product. They needed the technology they already had to work better. They needed better visibility. And when something mattered, they needed someone to be there.

Don't rip it out. Connect it.

From the beginning, we wanted ConnectProtect® to work differently. Cyber security has a habit of telling customers that the answer to every problem is another product. Another platform. Another dashboard. Another contract. And often, replacing technology they've already paid for. We didn't think that made sense. So we built ConnectProtect® to work with the security investments organisations already have, wherever we can support them.

Because if you've already invested in good technology, our first question shouldn't be:
What can we replace?
It should be:
How can we make what you already have work harder for you?

Then we found another problem.

As ConnectProtect grew, so did the amount of security information we needed to work with. And we ran into something we didn't like.

The more customers wanted to see, the more they could be charged.

Traditional security monitoring models can make security data expensive. The more data you ingest, the more you can pay. That creates an uncomfortable decision. Ingest more and spend more. Or control the bill by limiting the information being monitored.

Neither felt right to us.

Our analysts wanted the context required to understand what was happening. Our customers wanted predictable costs.

So we asked a simple question: What if cost didn't stand in the way of visibility?

That question changed ConnectProtect. We redesigned our platform and changed the commercial model with it. More data. Not more cost. No data ingestion charges. Predictable pricing.

Because we don't think better visibility should be something you're discouraged from using.

And we kept listening.

The more customers we worked with, the clearer something became.

Cyber security isn't one problem. It's lots of problems. What can an attacker see from outside my business? Could one of my suppliers expose us? Who is protecting our endpoints when my team isn't there? How do I bring all these different security tools together? What vulnerabilities do I have, and which ones should I worry about first?

Those aren't product questions. They're the questions real people responsible for businesses ask.

So rather than forcing every problem into one enormous security product, we built ConnectProtect around them.

Four products. Four problems. One platform.

See what attackers see.

Horizon

Your business has an outside. Domains, systems, services, configurations and other information can tell
an attacker a surprising amount before they ever attempt to get in.

Horizon continuously monitors your external security posture so you can understand what attackers can
see and know when something changes.

See who you rely on

Realm

Your cyber security doesn’t stop at your own network. Suppliers and other third parties can introduce
risks you don’t directly control.

Realm helps you continuously understand the external cyber risk of the organisations your business depends on.

Protect what's inside.

Core

Endpoints are where your people work and where many attacks ultimately play out.

Core brings together Antivirus, EDR, anti ransomware capability and the ConnectProtect SOC to help
protect the laptops, desktops and servers your organisation relies on 24x7x365.

Already have supported EDR? You may not need to replace it.

Bring everything together

Unity

Endpoint. Identity. Network. Cloud. Applications. Security tools.

Individually, they each tell you something. Together, they can tell you much more.

Unity connects relevant security information from across your environment and puts AI, automation and
the ConnectProtect SOC behind it. One connected picture. Monitored 24x7x365.

Built by people who know the industry

ConnectProtect didn't begin with somebody looking for the next cyber security market opportunity. It grew from years spent working with customers, security technologies, vendors and partners and seeing first hand where things worked and where they didn't. The people behind ConnectProtect have spent their careers in this industry. That experience shapes how we're building it today.

Rob Gupta

Founder & CEO

Robert's career in cyber security spans more than two decades.

As the founder and CEO of Secon Cyber Security since 1999, he has worked closely with organisations navigating an industry that has changed almost beyond recognition during that time.

But the idea for ConnectProtect® came from something much simpler.

When customers experienced security incidents and couldn't get the help they needed quickly enough from their existing providers, they called Robert.

He stepped in.

After seeing the same thing happen repeatedly, he decided there had to be a better way.

In 2015, that idea became ConnectProtect®, which was incubated within Secon Cyber Security.

Robert's philosophy still influences how the platform is built today:
1. Work with existing technologies within the customers environment, wherever possible
2. Make sophisticated and complex security data easier to consume
3. Make sure there are real people behind the service when customers need them
4. Give customers the ability to demonstrate the affect of ConnectProtect®.

Mukesh Gupta

Strategic Investor & Advisor

Mukesh brings the experience of building and scaling technology businesses.

As the founder of e92plus, he helped build the company into a business with revenues exceeding £100 million, working across the cyber security channel and developing long term relationships with vendors and partners. That experience matters to ConnectProtect®.

Building great security technology is one thing.

Building a company capable of delivering it consistently, commercially and at scale is another.

Mukesh brings that commercial and operational perspective to ConnectProtect® as we grow, while helping ensure we don't lose the principles the company was built around.
